Elected to the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners in 2014, Sabrena has been on the forefront fighting for the issues that we care about in our area such as: education, infrastructure needs, public safety, and zoning. Currently, Sabrena serves as the Chair of Education and Zoning for the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners.

Sabrena Smedley was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN. Sabrena is a graduate of Ooltewah High School and attended college at Chattanooga State and Bryan College where she graduated with top honors and received a Bachelor degree in Business and is currently completing her MBA. Sabrena is a proud mother of three and is married to Mark Smedley of Apison, TN.

Sabrena is the broker/owner of Sabrena Realty Associates, LLC in East Brainerd and understands the challenges and perseverance it takes to run a business and raise a family. Sabrena has been actively involved in her community and has volunteered and chaired various community events. Sabrena is an active member of Morris Hill Baptist Church and she credits her success to her faith and personal relationship with Jesus.

Sabrena has been a strong advocate in protecting property rights and zoning issues in District 7. As a realtor, she has built long-term relationships with the citizens of her district. Recently Sabrena was named the “2012 Realtor of the Year” by the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors. She serves on the Multiple Listing Board for the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors in addition to serving on the local and state governmental affairs committees. Sabrena serves on the River City Board and also is President of The Friends of East Brainerd. She has been a voice for all property owners in protecting home ownership through issues such as keeping the mortgage interest deduction and ensuring that both interest rates and property taxes remain low.

For fun, Sabrena loves to kayak and cruise around town in her ’74 VW Karmann Ghia Convertible.
